1. I would like to correct something here: Judge Hulbert was never convicted of DUI, Joe Wilson was!
Secondly, I understand that fewer than 17% of ballots have been returned as of 10/23, so I dispute your contention that we have a large vote in this off year election.
I think given some of the loony stuff coming from the Snohomish County Superior Court Bench from the likes of Lucas and in particular the hard to believe decision by Judge Downs on sub-standard lot property rights, we need some straight interpreters of the law and not legislators on the bench. The Snohomish County Superior Court is not an ON THE JOB TRAINING PROGRAM, we need experience to clear the huge backlog of cases. That leaves one choice: JUDGE HULBERT!
2. 1. The prior poster is correct, Hulbert refused a breath test, so his license was suspended. Apparantly Joe Wilson did not refuse the tests.
2. Judge Lucas may, or may not, be loony. That issue was decided by the voters in the past 2 races between Lucas and Hulbert. Twice the voters rejected Hulbert.
3. "On the job training" is the canned spiel by Hulbert. Hulbert never mentioned that when he was initially appointed! All the candidates will need training before they are fully functioning judges. Anybody who tells you otherwise is as loony as the prior poster claims Judge Lucas is.
4. The prior poster is putting Hulbert's spin on a situation that confronts Republicans. Should they continue to support a far right wing Republican that has shown in the past two elections that he is not electable? Hulbert's support by Republicans is limited to the far right, not the moderate Republicans.
5. Look at the various candidate websites. Hulberts site provides very limited information for good reason.
3. As of 10 a.m. this morning, 16% of the ballots have been returned according to the elections office. The elections office is expecting turnout to be higher than average for this election.
I hope the voters read the voters pamphlet and don't let this become an election about signs and money. The battle of the signs and money appears to be between Rico Tessandore and Joe Wilson. That battle is becoming a battle of the idiots, Joe Wilson and Rico Tessandore. The candidates are placing signs 2 inches in front of another candidates signs. It sure appears that there is bad blood between Tessandore and Wilson.
It would be interesting to find out if this is a campaign manager dirty trick or if its directed by the candidates themselves. I hope the voters hold this conduct against the candidates when they vote. If the candidate cannot control their campaign staff, how will they control a courtroom.
While Scott Lord appears to be out of the race, is anybody sure?
4. Along with those dirty campaign tricks are dirty ethics. Tessandore refusing to comply with Asst Secretary of State's Oct 21st letter to immediately cease and desist using the State Seal from his campaign, and, Wilson's continued endorsement of other candidates which is in direct violation of WA Courts Judicial Canon 7A1b. Yep, Snohomish County really needs unethical judges in our courtrooms.
5. Everybody knows about the cease and desist order against Rico Tessandore, but Wilson's endorsement of other candidates is pretty hush hush. Any more information on this? I had my concerns about Wilson based upon his DUI record (variously reported as 2 or 3 DUI), but if Joe Wilson is violating election laws, he would never get my vote. This is especially true since Joe Wilson was behind the Snohomish County Young Democrats getting the cease and desist order against Rico Tessandore.
6. Rico Tessandore still hasn't explained this "open secret among attorneys" as to why he left the prosecutors office. why are the lawyers and prosecuting attorneys protecting Tessandore? is there some code of silence among lawyers?
can any lawyers tell us why Tessandore left the prosecutors office? i asked a joe wilson supporter and all he would do was smile when i asked what tessandore was hiding.
what is going on?
7. Judge Hulbert is over at Everett Costco today waving his campaign signs.
8. It sickens me when people throw out accusations without any substantiation just to serve their own adgendas. For example, Joseph Wilson IS NOT in violation of Canon 7A1b as "Annonymous" above stated. In this Canon, the judicial candidate may not "make speeches for a political organization or nonjudicial candidate
or publicly endorse a nonjudicial candidate for public office." He can attend political functions, as long as he is running, and so long as he does not CONTRIBUTE to the campaign (i.e. doesn't make a donation or pay for the dinner) or speak on the non-judicial candidate's behalf. He can only speak, asking for support for himself. "Annonymous"' statement that Wilson is in violation of said Canon only shows his/her ignorance of the law. And was a truthful example of said violation given? No. It was just someone throwing out unfounded accusations; a political heckler. From what I have seen, Wilson has been able to gain support from intelligent, level-headed politicians from both sides of the fence, without making political contributions. Both Hobbs and Hope endorse Wilson. Why? Because he is a GOOD MAN and a qualified candidate. He has INTEGRITY (look up the definition of integrity if you think it means never making a mistake), love of his country and love of his Creator. Wilson will make a FINE judge.
9. You can paraphrase the words in the Canon however you want. For those who would like to read the text exactly how it's written:
(1# Judges or candidates for election to judicial office shall not:
#b# make speeches for a political organization or nonjudicial candidate
or publicly endorse a nonjudicial candidate for public office.
Joe Wilson has his name on campaign material as endorsing two candidates #non judicial)currently running for public office.
10. this looks like more dirty tricks between Rico Tessandore and Joe Wilson. i don't think much of snohomish county politicians anyway. look at what Aaron Reardon has accomplished lately for proof.
but i am interested in knowing about the integrity of the candidates. do you have candidate names and website to prove that joe wilson is endorsing non-judicial candidates? do you have brochures? if i get the proof, i won't vote for joe. i'll change my ballot. i certainly won't vote for rico tessandore.
so, where is the proof or is this disinterested "anonymous" really a rico tessandore supporter hiding in the cloak of anonymity.
you can change your ballot. just cross of the name of the candidate you no longer want to vote for, and fill in the arrow for the candidate you do want to vote for. i m waiting for the proof. show me the proof, i'll change my ballot.

12. Thanks, Mukilteo voter. Obviously the accuser doesn't want to provide proof because Wilson has done nothing wrong and the annonamous poster is lying. And, if annonamous is right, and Mr. Wilson's name is listed on someonelse's materials, did he have control over that or not? Did you bring it to Mr. Wilson's attention, or are you just using a lie to personally attack an honorable man? Blind accusations.....ignorance of the law.....I don't know how you sleep at night.
Oh, and I didn't paraphrase...I cut and pasted directly from the Canon.
13. An extensive email has just been distributed to all machinists from a member of the local printers union. Joe Wilson has not honored agreements and is using a printer from Cincinnati instead of local union shops. Please, all union members, contact your local union and seek to have them withdraw any endorsement of Joe Wilson. Rico Tessandore has also been using out of state print shops. Scott Lord has also been using non-union out of state print shops. I know its late, but we must get the word out. Please email and tell all your friends, your local newspapers, local blogs, craigslist (under local news and politics), we've got to get the word out. The three supposed union supporters and "democrats" have let us down. I know Judge Hulbert doesn't use local printers or union shops, does anybody know about Scott Peterson? Does he use union shops? What do we know about him and his support of unions?
14. I have not given anyone any permission to use my name in any manner as an endorser, period. No one has told me that my name is being used.
One comment on the forum in Stanwood - whoever posted their comments was not there - Why? because Scott Lord was not there. Where are you getting your facts?????
Left Leaning???? Really - based on what - give me a call sometime and we can sit down and you can figure out who I am rather than base your decision on antidotes, misinformation, lies and scare tactics.
15. I hope that last post really was Joe Wilson. Good for YOU JOE!!! This race has been denigrated into a shouting match about who is doing what wrong. Honestly, Joe Wilson is a fine candidate, sure I have questioned him in other forums, but he is over all a good person. The same for Hulbert, Lord, and Tessandore. (I have never met Peterson so I can't say anything about his character.) Somehow attack politics has gotten a grip on the Judicial race. Rico left the prosecutor's office to take a higher paying job with a law firm that exclusively represents Farmers Insurance. The decision was based on finance. As Joe Wilson can attest, raising a young family costs money.
Let's ignore the negative and simply focus on experience and credentials. Visit the candidate websites and make decisions for yourself. I already voted and I hope every one in this forum does also. Tomorrow is THE most important of the 365 days this year, vote for what YOU know and NOT some garbage you read on the internet.
16. I challenged anybody to show that Joe Wilson had endorsed another candidate. I knew that this was likely more campaign trash. Thank you Joe for clearing that up! Joe has never endorsed any other candidate!
17. In regards to B. Clark's question about why Rico Tessandore left the Prosecutor's Office. It was because he was having an affair with a married public defender.
18. Thats a twist, in Federal Way married Judge Colleen Hartyl has an affair with a public defender, in Snohomish County the prosecutor has an affair with a married public defender.
The current Federal Way judge also has integrity problems and is under investigation.
Maybe we should elect Rico Tessandore for judge in federal way, with all Federal Ways problems he'd fit in perfectly.
19. The Committee to Elect Joe Wilson uses only local union shops for their sign printing needs; Thompson Signs from Olympia. This is all disclosed to the PDC. However, a kind supporter donated union signs made in Cincinatti to replace the large number of signs found missing and/or damaged during the campaign. I personally know the person who donated the signs to the campaign. She did not know it would be an issue. Her signs can be distinguished from those purchased by the Wilson campaign by the missing "Joe." They simply state "Wilson for ..." instead of "Joe Wilson for..." I am disappointed, to say the least, that a local union printer sent out such a err'd email before checking out the facts, PLUS posting the misinformation HERE, PLUS posting something on CRAIG'S LIST.
20. Mr. Jones:
I have to echo Mr. Wilson's comment: "WHERE ARE YOU GETTING YOUR FACTS?!?!?!" Rico Tessandore is MARRIED to a woman who worked in the Public Defenders office. This is both their FIRST marriage. I was at the wedding. I suppose it is possible to have an affiar with your own wife, but I should be so lucky. Rico Tessandore left the prosecutor's office for financial reasons. Ask him yourself or any one of the many other prosecutors he worked with over the years. I will be happy to provide e-mail addresses off the forum.
Please make this about the issues and the candidates not the personal attacks. AND DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!
21. FACT: Joe Wilson is listed on 2 websites under endorsements for Jeff Moore and Dave Gossett.
FACT: Joe Wilson was also listed on websites in 2008 as endorsing candidates while unsuccessfully running against George Appel for Snohomish County Superior Court.
FACT: In 2008 and 2009 Joe Wilson contributed to nonjudicial candidates campaigns.
Everybody knows if you contribute to a campaign your name is going to be listed as a supporter.
22. I do not speak for the Wilson campaign, but for myself, thank you for being more specific, Annonymous, regarding Mr. Wilson being listed as an endorser under Moore's and Gossett's web sites. I'm sure that computer data entry error is being addressed as I am writing this.
I can't comment on the websites in 2008. Where did you get your information? And if it is true, was it ever brought to Mr. Wilson's attention?
As far as the 2008 and 2009 nonjudicial contributions, after looking further on the PDC, I can only find contributions during periods of time when Mr. Wilson WAS NOT running for office (i.e. April '09 and February '08). As far as I know, he is only forbidden to make contribution DURING a judicial race or WHILE IN JUDICIAL OFFICE. I don't see that he has violated that, either.
23. Hey guys, isn't the race over?
24. LOL at anonymous--it's over tomorrow.
Look at how much money some of these guys have spent on their campaign and how much the job pays. We have big time politics in Snohomish county. LOL
I'm voting for the guy who seems to really want to be a good Judge and hasn't been convicted of any crime.
25. I agree with Belinda J., I'm voting for the guy wh seems to really want to be a good Judge and either hasn't been convicted of a crime OR IS SMART ENOUGH TO NOT GET CAUGHT!!!
Now, who is that candidate?
