1. Which prompts the question when will Sound Politics be back? One post in six days makes one wonder.

3. @1 - your comment also begs the question - where are Stefan Sharkansky and Pudge ? Neither of them have posted since Nov. 6th.

Thank you, he's great. I had him convinced that because of his icy feet, he was getting a camouflage HoodieFootie for Christmas.

I suspect that both Stefan (by the way Stefen and Steve, today is the feast of St Stephen the Martyr for Catholics - he's yours as your patron saint) and Pudge are feeling a bit like me - a great love of arguing politics but simply worn out by and of 2012. Don't worry I'll be back to try your patience in the new year. Until then, thanks for your warm thoughts and stay safe in these busy holidays.

6. KDS @ 3

Didn't pudge say he was going to marry his brother and/or dog after the election?

Pudge is still trying to find where Obama limited his Civil Liberties during this last four years (see Pudge's prediction in early 2009 after the election -- ref: Civil Liberties Lost).

Pudge is still trying to find where Obama limited his Civil Liberties during this last four years (see Pudge's prediction in early 2009 after the election -- ref: Civil Liberties Lost). Specifically, Pudge was saying that Obama was for DC style gun control (Heller Case). We have had four years, and no gun control law changes period, let alone a DC like gun control law. With Newtown incident, Congress may finally get off its hind end and do something, but I expect it won't be much other than more government spending.

Pudge also stated that Obama would implement a single payer health care system. Again, wrong. Federal Health Exchanges, which Obama campaigned on in 2008, are not single payer, government run health insurance agencies (ala Medicare, but don't tell the Tea Party elderly who don't want government to touch their "private" Medicare).

Maybe Pudge has went to Dick Morris' house to join in the defamed pundit crowd party. If you look back at many (if not most) of Pudge's predictions four years ago (and in between), they haven't come to be.

9. It would be safe to say that Pudge is regrouping. It would be interesting to see if tc could post some of Pudge's predictions to confirm the claims. As Pres. Reagan, said - "Trust but verify"

I don't have a desire to defend pudge, but would prefer facts to fiction.

I linked to the early 2009 SP post where Pudge predicted that Obama would limit Civil Liberties, like implementing a DC like gun ban and in the comments thread a single payer healthcare system (He didn't spell out in his post what he meant by 10th Amendment Civil Liberties impact, but in dialogue later in comments, refers to this being what he was referring to).

11. tc,
Pudge went too far with his predictions, but was trending in the right direction with both of them. Obamacare, if implemented per plan (which is a significant if) would lead to a single payer healthcare system when the government undercuts all of the insurance companies which will economically break them, leaving the government as the sole-survivor, hence a single payer system.

BTW, Bush-43 limited our civil liberties too as you well know.
